Leaf Shape: Linear

Long and thin like a line; length is more than four times the width: see oblong.

The individual leaves on Taxus are ideally linear in character. For the Dawn Redwood both the leaves and the leaflets tend to be linear. The most identifiable characteristic for Dawn Redwood is the opposite branching of the branchlets.
